Understanding Your Status Results
What it means:
Your application has been approved for that specific period. A payment date will be assigned.
What to do:
Wait for your payment date. Check that your banking details are correct.
What it means:
Your application is still being verified. SASSA is checking your information against various databases.
What to do:
No immediate action required. Check again in a few days.
What it means:
You did not meet one or more eligibility criteria for that period. A reason is usually provided.
What to do:
Review the decline reason. If incorrect, submit an appeal through the official portal.
Common Status Check Issues
Make sure you are using the same ID number and phone number you used during your application. If the details do not match, no result will be found.
Your payment is still being scheduled. Check again after a few days. Make sure your banking details are up to date on the SRD portal.
Your application may still be under verification. This can take several weeks. If it remains pending for more than a month, contact SASSA directly.
The SASSA portal experiences high traffic. Try again during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening). You can also use the USSD or phone methods.
